Repeat Prescriptions

If you are on regular medication, you will have a computerised repeat prescription slip with instructions on how to order at the bottom.

To assist us in processing prescriptions within 72 hours, they need to be ordered online wherever possible. For patients already signed up for online services, you can order your prescription online via your online record.

If you are not registered for online services please register here.

We also have an email address that you can use to contact us with prescription requests -

We will not accept prescription requests over the telephone.

If you do not have internet access, please clearly indicate on your computerised repeat prescription slip the items you require and either post the request to us or hand in to the surgery.  There is a red post box just inside the front door.

Please allow 3 working days for the prescription to be issued by us before calling in to collect it.

If you would like to collect your medication directly from a pharmacy, please contact the surgery and let us know your chosen chemist. We will then indicate this on your record and any future prescriptions will be sent to your allocated pharmacy. You will still need to allow 3 working days for the prescription to be issued by us plus time for the pharmacy to process it.

Please do not order your prescription until it is due, stock piling of medication is a major problem within the NHS and your prescription will not be issued early without good reason.

If you require your medication to be delivered to your home this must be arranged directly with your pharmacy.

Our Pharmacy Team

What is a clinical Pharmacist?

Clinical pharmacists are highly qualified health professionals who train for many years to become specialists in medicines and how they work.  Our clinical pharmacists have also undertaken additional training to allow them to prescribe medicines.

They can work directly with you, as part of the general practice team, to make sure your medicines help you get better and stay well.  Having a clinical pharmacist in the practice team means you can be treated by the best professional for your needs.

A clinical pharmacist can help manage long-term conditions, offer advice on side effects, review medications, give advice on common illnesses and ensure you are reviewed after a stay in hospital.

Our clinical pharmacists are employed by the practice through Livewell Southwest to offer this service and will have access to all of your medical notes.  The pharmacists are able to either talk to you on the phone or in a face to face appointment.  If you come in to see the pharmacist then you be seen in a private consultation room within the Health Centre.  Please note face to face appointments are currently only available in the afternoons due to room availability.

All pharmacists are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
